Job summary

American Megatrends in Chennai is seeking an UEFI BIOS Engineer to design, develop, customize, and port UEFI BIOS firmware for x86 platforms using C. You will collaborate with hardware teams and customers to translate requirements into robust firmware.

The role covers debugging BIOS issues, unit testing, documenting work, and providing risk assessments and schedule updates within an Agile framework. A 2–10 year background in embedded firmware is expected to thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• 2 to 10 years of experience in Embedded Firmware Development, Bootloaders, Device Drivers, and Advanced C Programming.
• Strong understanding of x86 CPU Architecture, Microprocessors, and Microcontrollers.
• Experience with hardware interfaces such as I2C, UART, SPI, etc.
• Ability to understand hardware schematics, interface specifications, and customer requirements.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum-based product development methodologies.
