Position: Senior Consulting Engineer – IT Server, Storage and Cloud Solutions

Department: Technical Services

Work Location: REMOTE

Reporting To: Global Consulting Engineer Team Leader

Introduction:

Due to the TRT restructure of TRTs business development team, we are recruiting for a Senior Consulting Engineer (CE) – Data Center (DC) Server, Storage Cloud Solutions to devise, implement, and manage TRT’s sales and marketing effort from a technical perspective globally.

The successful applicant would have a proven track record in building and delivering on a DC IT Server and Storage Solutions for Managed Services Hardware maintenance and software support along with Infrastructure deployment cloud related and professional services.

This is a high-profile position within TRT’s Shared Services Organization, reporting to Consulting Engineering Team Leader. The successful applicant can come from anywhere in the world but will be required to relocated to Clark Global City Pampanga Philippines.

The Senior CE – DC IT Server and Storage will be working with other operational team leaders and 4-5 reports within TRT as well as other third-party partners to be the Enterprise IT Server and Storage focal point for strategic growth efforts and using the latest enhancements in networking technology to deliver solutions for existing and prospective clients. From leading technical design solutions training of front-line technical personnel and proposing solutions with third parties and business development and client account managers, the Senior CE – Server and Storage at TRT is required to be the go-to person by all departments concerning technical solutions regarding Enterprise IT Servers and Storage.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide expert technical pre-sales support for opportunities involving servers, storage, backup, and cloud solution.

· Early engagement with customer in selling servers, storage, backup, and cloud solution.

· Understand and gather customer requirements and offer complete & cost-effective solution.

· Prepare solution writeup, bill of material and engage Service Delivery team for professional effort.

· Ensure the completeness of technical terms and conditions.

· Conduct/Lead in technical presentation and clarification

· Identify project risk (technical & execution) and provide mitigation measures.

· Integrate servers, storage, backup, and cloud centric solution with support from other competency presales solutions consultant.

· Upon contract award, conduct transition/ handover and briefing to project implementation team on the overall solution & design.

· Keep abreast of product technology and certifications.

· Keep updated of the latest technology and develop technical capability slides.

· Attain selected product/technology certifications to maintain our premium partnership status with product principals.

· Conduct in-house technology sharing to fellow peers.

Required Skills & Experience:

• At least 5-yrs Systems, Storage, and cloud experiences in HPE, IBM, Dell EMC, Hitachi Vantara, NetApp, Cisco UCS, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform.
• Hand-on experience with various OS (Microsoft Windows, AIX, Solaris, Redhat) and virtualised platforms (VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, KVM, AIX LPAR, Solaris LDOM and Container)
• Strong knowledge of backup and archival solution such as Veritas, Dell EMC Networker/Avamar/PowerProtect, EMC Data Domain, Veeam, Acronis, Arcserve, etc.
• Good knowledge in virtualization and cloud (IaaS) technology
• Customer service oriented, good team player, technically inclined
• Must be effective in working both independently and in a team setting.

Desired Skills & Certifications (preferred):

· MCSE/MCITP

· Server (Dell EMC, IBM, HPE, Cisco UCS)

· Storage (Dell EMC, Hitachi Vantara)

· Backup (Veritas NetBackup, Veritas Backup Exec, EMC Networker, Veeam)

· AWS Solution Architect Associate, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert,

· Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect

· Vmware certification

· Working knowledge of Active Directory

· Working knowledge of Oracle DB, MySQL, etc.

· Familiar with different product licensing schemes

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹328,086.00 – ₹410,107.50 per month
