Job summary

Manpowergroup Services India is seeking a Transport Coordinator in Pallavaram - Chennai on a 1-year contract. Responsible for ensuring material availability, coordinating with LSPs (MAERSK, DSV, DHL, TNT) for pickups and deliveries, and driving operational excellence through KPIs and risk management.

Requires SAP TM experience and strong analytical skills. The role involves freight order creation, supplier follow-up, tracking of shipments, and cost-out initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, logistics or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in business systems administration, reporting, data management, or operational support.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Transport Management; preferable SAP MM, SharePoint, ServiceNow, and Microsoft 365.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Experience supporting LSP like MAERSK, DSV, DHL & TNT for overseas shipments in 40ft/20ft containers, road movement & air.

Responsibilities

• On time Material availability to all Nacelle Factories and support Zero-Line stop.
• On time Logistics Service Provider confirmations for timely pickup and deliveries to Factories (MAERSK, DSV, DHL & TNT).
• Deliver operational excellence and measure performance through KPIs; maintain connections with Buyers and Factory LCs for OTIF reliability.
• Monitor MMD (Maersk Master Data) and highlight risks to stakeholders through Control Tower.
• FO Creation & Booking: Freight Order creation and release to LSPs based on Material PO.
• Supplier finalization follow-up to finalize Freight Orders within due dates.
• Hard booking follow-up with LSP; events follow-up for pickup, delivery, ETA and delays.
• Exception handling: cleanup unplanned FUs, remove system blocks and FSD to FPO conversion.
• Missing Rates and Lanes: monitor missing lanes and coordinate with LSP and Global procurement for rates and lanes in MRS; analyze LT changes.
• Unplanned charges: govern to reduce unplanned counts and obtain factory/segment logistics approvals.
• Control Tower: represent connections for risk identification/prioritization with timely inputs.
• Govern and conduct weekly/monthly business review meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Transport cost out: identify cost-out opportunities through shipment consolidation and premium freight reductions; approvals via Excalibur.
• On Time Delivery (OTD) program.
• Proactively address missing FPOs for LSP on-time payments to support FTHR performance.
• Gain knowledge on storage options LSP can provide and share during Overstock situations.

Responsibilities

• On time Material availability to all Nacelle Factories and support Zero-Line stop.
• On time Logistics Service Provider ( MAERSK, DSV, DHL & TNT) confirmation for Timely Pickup and Deliveries to Factories.
• Delivering Operational excellence and measure the performance through KPIs and establish regular connects with Buyers, Factory LCs for OTIF Reliability.
• Monitor MMD (Maersk Master Data) regularly and highlight risk to stakeholders through Control Tower
  • FO Creation & Booking: Freight Order Creation & Release Freight Orders to Logistics service provider LSP MAERSK, DSV, DHL & TNT based on the Material PO.
  • Supplier Finalization Follow-Up: We do follow up with Suppliers to finalize the Freight Orders within due date
  • Hard booking Follow up with LSP: Follow up with LSP for pending Hard booking cases.
  • Events Follow-Up with LSP: Following Up with LSP for Pick Up, Delivery, new ETA and Delay events to meet the material requirement timelines.
  • Exception Handling: Cleaning up unplanned FUs, removing system blocks and FSD to FPO conversion.
  • Missing Rates and Lanes: Monitoring the missing lanes and collaborating with LSP and Global procurement for getting rates and lanes into the MRS and analysis LT changes in MRS
  • Unplanned charges: To govern in reducing the unplanned counts against the respective factories and support in getting factory/Segment logistics approvals
  • Control Tower: To represent control tower connects towards enabling the risk identification/prioritization with timely inputs.
• Govern and conduct weekly/monthly business review meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Transport cost out: To identify the cost out opportunitiesthrough shipment consolidation & premium freight reductions and get approved through Excalibur
• On Time DeliveryOTD Program
• Proactively address missing FPOfor LSP on time payments which intern supports FTHR performance
• Gain Knowledge on storage options that LSP can provide and share with stakeholders during Over stocking situations (E.g., Brighton, Lindo, Etc.)
