The role requires deep domain experience in post-trade lifecycle, cloud and containerized deployments, and a track record of building high-performing teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of Java development experience in capital markets or fintech.
• Proven leadership of software and AI engineering teams.
• Experience delivering post-trade lifecycle solutions for Operations and Middle Office teams.
• Strong knowledge of REST or GraphQL services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization (Kubernetes).

Meet the Team

The Transactional Systems Technology Team sits within Millennium’s Information Technology organization. The team is responsible for the transaction processing platform, including trade lifecycle event processing, enrichment, and PnL calculations. It develops and operates technology that supports scalable data processing, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities for Operations and Middle Office teams.

What You’ll Do

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of software and AI engineers working across Java, Python, and Angular development.
• Deliver global software solutions that support trade lifecycle management across multiple asset classes.
• Build and operate high-throughput, low-latency trade processing solutions for booking, amendments, unwinds, novations, asset servicing, and other transaction workflows.
• Develop and operate GenAI services that transform unstructured data into structured pipelines for trade booking and reconciliation.
• Identify and deliver process improvements through automation, optimized data and model pipelines, and infrastructure enhancements that improve scalability, resiliency, and AI workload support.
• Deliver software using modern engineering practices, including automated testing, code review, version control, CI/CD, observability, and orchestration.
• Provide effective level-three production support for team-owned applications, ensuring reliability, accuracy, and operational quality.
• Partner with Core Technology, Operations, and Middle Office teams to define the strategic direction for global trade lifecycle processing.

What You Bring

• Strong trade lifecycle domain experience, preferably in equities; fixed income experience is also advantageous.
• At least 15 years of professional Java development experience within capital markets or a fintech firm.
• At least 4 years of experience leading high-performing software development or AI engineering teams.
• Demonstrable experience delivering post-trade lifecycle solutions that support Operations and Middle Office teams.
• At least 3 years of development experience with messaging platforms such as Kafka and UI frameworks such as Angular.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Python and GenAI ecosystems, including the ability to develop services that support AI-enabled workflows.
• Experience building REST or GraphQL services using Java and Spring Boot, with strong SQL and relational database experience in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of modern SDLC and DevOps practices, Kubernetes or similar container deployment architectures, and AWS or GCP cloud services, combined with a delivery-focused, detail-oriented approach and effective use of AI-assisted development tools.
