About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Training Manager to join our Learning and Development team. As a Training Manager, you’ll lead a team of trainers who deliver training programs on a variety of topics. Your work will impact Operations with every batch of trainees. You will be expected to improve agent capability by ensuring each training program achieves its learning objectives, while driving operational efficiency across various programs. You will also be involved in coaching, training, and managing all levels in a fast-paced environment.

The area of responsibility for this role is wide-ranging and thus requires thorough knowledge of various company and industry practices. The ideal candidate must be competent and able to plan many different training activities. He/She must be an excellent leader who can discover the most efficient ways to partner with the Operations Department to meet its goals and objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with line managers
  • Lead the design and development of engaging and effective training content and curriculum development
  • Deploy a wide variety of training methods
  • Monitor and evaluate training programs effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them
  • Ensure all training programs adhere to relevant company policies, industry regulations, and compliance standards
  • Manage training budget
  • Provide opportunities for ongoing development
  • Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary
  • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments, and best practices
  • Continuously research and implement innovative training methodologies and technologies to enhance learning experiences and outcomes
  • High degree of problem-solving skills to resolve problems in a multi-product/service environment
  • Ability to interact at all levels
  • Provide functional leadership to the day-to-day operations of the Leadership and Development team
  • Conduct performance reviews and set development goals for the training team
  • Ensure there is appropriate and adequate training interventions to improve operating knowledge and other soft skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Establish credibility through demonstrating an understanding of the needs of their team and colleagues
  • Collaborate effectively with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across departments to gather accurate content and ensure training relevance
  • Excellent planning, prioritizing, and organizing of resources within own team to achieve agreed objectives
Requirements

8-10 years of overall experience preferably from the ITES/BPO industry with minimum 4-5 years of people management skills and responsible for leading teams

Track record in designing and executing successful training programs

Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc)

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively

Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals

Comfortable using tools (Zoom, Google Suite, LMS admin, etc.)

Flexible with working in shifts considering the business requirements
