Job summary

CorroHealth in India seeks a seasoned medical coding trainer to design, develop, and deliver onboarding and ongoing training for entry-level coders and certification-focused programs.

You will analyze learning needs, build frameworks, and partner with quality and operations to drive performance, accuracy, and compliance across EM, OP, and IP coding.

Qualifications

Eligibility Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience of at least 2-3 years in a medical coding training role with a proven ability to develop coding professionals.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Health Information Management (HIM) principles and medical coding practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
  • Adaptable mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry standards and coding updates.
  • Experience in facilitating onboarding programs for entry-level coders as well as certification-focused training initiatives.
  • In-depth expertise in (EM), Outpatient (OP), and Inpatient (IP) coding specialties.
  • Active AAPC or AHIMA certification is required; possession of additional specialty certifications is preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Primary Responsibilities
  • Analyze organizational, operational, and client-driven learning requirements to identify training opportunities and competency gaps.
  • Design, develop, and deliver structured learning solutions that enhance coding knowledge, accuracy, productivity, and compliance.
  • Develop comprehensive training frameworks, instructional materials, reference guides, and educational resources to support learner success.
  • Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions utilizing effective adult learning principles and diverse instructional techniques.
  • Regularly review and update training content to ensure alignment with current client specifications, regulatory requirements, and coding guidelines.
  • Collaborate with operations, quality, management, and client stakeholders to ensure training initiatives support business objectives.
  • Build and implement customized learning pathways tailored to the needs of new hires, experienced coders, and specialty-specific teams.
  • Oversee the effective utilization of learning technologies, training platforms, and supporting resources to optimize knowledge delivery.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at improving workforce capability, operational performance, coding quality, and overall training effectiveness.
  • Measure and evaluate training outcomes through assessments, audits, performance tracking, and learner feedback, implementing improvement plans where necessary.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and competency development support to promote professional growth and sustained performance excellence.
  • Partner with quality and operations teams to address performance trends, close knowledge gaps, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
