Job summary

Piramal Pharma Solutions is a CDMO offering end-to-end development and manufacturing services with a global footprint across North America, Europe and Asia. We are seeking a Trainee - Technical Services to assist in process development, scale-up support, basic engineering tasks, and plant operations coordination.

The role involves learning and contributing to technology transfer, trial/validation batches, feasibility checks, and preparation of technical documents under guidance.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Chemical Engineering (required).
• Freshers or up to 1 year of internship/training in API, pharmaceutical, chemical or process industries.
• Willingness to perform rotational shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in scaling up new products from lab to plant scale, including technology transfer and process safety studies.
• Support trial and validation batches and help ensure timely completion.
• Assist in basic feasibility checks, process modifications and simple engineering calculations.
• Coordinate and execute new projects at pilot scale and during large-scale production shifts.
• Contribute to preparing HAZOP inputs, campaign reports and related documentation within deadlines.
• Prepare technical documents such as PFDs, P&IDs, equipment suitability assessments, and HAZOP documentation.
• Perform basic engineering calculations like mass and energy balances as per project needs.
• Assist in studies for new and ongoing projects, including operating cost estimates.
• Support facility mapping for confirmed or high-probability projects and assess execution feasibility.

Job Description

The Trainee will support in technical activities, documentation, and process-related tasks within PDS/MMBB. This role involves learning and contributing to process development, scale-up support, basic engineering activities, and coordination for plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in scaling up new products from lab scale to plant scale, including participation in technology transfer, lab demonstrations, and process safety studies.
• Support the execution of trial and validation batches and help ensure timely completion.
• Help evaluate new product processes by performing basic feasibility checks process modifications, and simple engineering calculations.
• Assist in coordinating and executing new projects at pilot scale and during large-scale production shifts.
• Contribute to preparing and submitting HAZOP inputs, campaign reports, and other required documentation within deadlines.
• Support the preparation of technical documents such as PFDs, P&IDs, equipment suitability assessments, and HAZOP documentation under guidance.
• Perform basic engineering calculations like mass balance and energy balance as per project needs.
• Assist in conducting studies for new and ongoing projects, including preparing operational cost estimates.
• Support facility mapping for confirmed or high-probability projects and help assess feasibility for execution.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering
• Bachelor of Engineering (BE) - Chemical Engineering

Experience

Freshers or up to 1 year of relevant industrial internship/training experience in API, pharmaceutical, chemical, or process industries.

Candidates who are ready to perform rotational shifts are preferred.
