Job summary

The Hackett Group Inc. is seeking a seasoned SAP MM consultant to lead procurement and inventory optimization initiatives for our client engagements in India.

You will drive configuration, testing, go-live readiness, and post go-live support across MM modules, ensuring alignment with business processes and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate has strong experience in SAP MM CIN, cross-module integration, and agile delivery, with excellent communication and stakeholder management to

• Experience in Procurement / Inventory Domain.
• Expertise in SAP MM CIN module.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand organization values and align activities accordingly.
• Implement MM procurement configuration (purchasing org, valuation area, plants, warehouses).
• Finalize material and vendor master data, pricing, and release strategies.
• Prepare testing and master data templates; manage integration testing with PP/SD/FI-CO.
• Coordinate go-live prep, training, and post-go-live support.
• Handle client interactions via meetings, calls & emails; resolve issues within SLAs.
• Develop custom reports and ensure continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Understand the values and vision of the organization and align the activities accordingly

• Implementation project:

1. Setting up organization structure of material management and relevant configuration like Purchase organization, valuation area plants, storage location, and warehouse structure etc.
2. Finalization of material groups,purchasinggroups, payment terms, Inco terms, Pricing Procedure
3. Finalization of variousnumbersranges for material master, vendor master and allpurchasingand inventory documents
4. Configuration of release procedure forpurchasingdocument like Purchase requisition and purchase order
5. Preparation of testing document and internal testing
6. Preparation of master data templates for various object like material master, vendor master, excise master, Info-records, source list, purchase order
7. Integration testing withothermodule PP,SDand FI/CO
8. Preparing the cut over strategy for MM object
9. Preparing the user manual and imparting training to business process owners
10. Go-live preparation and post go live support

• Support project:

1. Interaction withclientthrough net meetings, calls & emails.Handling Tickets & Tasks and responsible for closing the same within defined SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
2. Responsible for troubleshooting the issues in the system and providing support
3. Executing the needed changes in configuration
4. Executing the analysis and resolution of production support calls
5. Raising Change Requests (CRs) and writing functional specifications for them
6. Preparing test data for testing CRs (Change Requests)
7. Testing CRs (Change Requests) and preparing test results
8. Carrying out regression testing
9. There will be some interaction with other modulesconsultants
10. Preparing test cases, testscenariosand solution documents for the issues
11. Strong knowledge in building logics to make customized reportsaccording to business scenarios
12. Strong blueprint creation skills whichsupportsconfiguration of business scenarios
13. Evaluate andamalgamateresearchfindings to develop valuable insights and strategic recommendations for our client

14. Expertise ineffective search strategies to gather relevant data using a broad set of resources such as on-line databases, the internet, internal database,associationsetc.

15.Fulfill a variety of operational tasks usingappropriate proprietaryapplication

1. Monitor,coachand develop the team by sharing knowledge and providing training as necessary
2. Work closely with management in various processes / projects to ensure communication and smooth implementation

Essential Skills

• Experience in Procurement / Inventory Domain, External Service Management, Logistics Invoice Verification, Batch and Serial no. Management, Output Determination, Cross Module Integration, Purchasing, Pricing, Release Strategies
• Completeknowledge of India Tax Procedures in SAP MM CIN Module
• Excellentwritten and verbalcommunication, analytical and critical-thinking skills are essential
• Should be organized and focused on delivering research tasks within defined deadlines
• Must be dynamic, flexible andpossessperseverance skills
• Proficiencyin customer relationship management
• Exhibit reactiveness and constructiveness at work such as, suggestinginnovative but pragmatic solutions
