Burns & McDonnell India’s Construction Design Build (CDB) Global Practice in Mumbai is hiring Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs) for Procurement. You will support RFQs, bid evaluations, purchase orders, supplier communications, and document control on large-scale EPC projects.

• Burns & McDonnell India’s Construction Design Build (CDB) Global Practice (GP) in Mumbai is seeking to hire Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs) for Procurement to support multiple industry sectors.
• Our procurement team supports various industry sectors like Oils & Gas, Transmission & Distribution, Power, Solar, Infrastructures, Water by managing sourcing, vendor evaluations, bid tabulations, purchaseorder management, Supplier Quality Management, expediting, document control and coordination between suppliers, engineering, and project teams. This role provides fresh graduates with an opportunity to gainhands-on experience in end-to-end procurement activities for large-scale EPC projects across diverse industries.
• Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Support senior procurement professionals in preparing and issuing Request for Quotations (RFQs) and bid evaluations.
• Assist in preparation of bid tabulations, purchase orders, and supplier communications.
• Coordinate with suppliers, engineering, and project teams for document submissions and clarifications.
• Support expediting activities to ensure timely deliveries and resolve supplier-related issues.
• Support and coordinate with document controllers for supplier document and Engineering document management.
• Assist in maintaining procurement records and databases for reporting and tracking.
• Gain familiarity with industry procurement practices, codes, and standards.
• Undertake assigned tasks with a focus on learning and professional development.
• Willingness to work permanently in either a general shift (08:00 am to 04:30 pm) or a second shift (12:30 pm to 9:00 pm) to accommodate coordination with the US office.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering, graduating in 2027 only.
• Candidates must have secured a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade without any active backlog in the qualifying examination
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• EPC Deliverable Sequence:
• Basic understanding of the sequence of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction deliverables.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and coordination skills.
• High motivation to build a career in procurement and supply chain management.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to a team-based environment
