Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Bengaluru seeks an Electrical Engineering graduate to join our PWR team, delivering engineering and CAD support for EPC projects across conventional and renewable energy.

You will assist in creating electrical deliverables, develop models using ETAP/SKM, coordinate with clients and the BMcD-US team, and participate in meetings and training to grow professionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 60% marks or an equivalent grade in the qualifying examination from a reputed university/institute in India.
• Passing out as part of the 2027 batch.
• Basic software experience utilizing Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat PDF).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong analytical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent learning ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and CAD support, pipe and structural shop fabrication drawings, and document control.
• Support field quality, progress measurement, and cost & schedule reporting for EPC projects.
• Create electrical deliverables such as one-line diagrams, schematics, and interconnection drawings.
• Develop equipment layouts, cable and panel schedules, power, grounding and lighting designs.
• Assist in electrical system modeling including ETAP and SKM analyses.
• Coordinate with clients and the Burns & McDonnell US team; participate in meetings and training.

• You'll report todepartment & functional managers, and your focus? Providing essential services such as engineering and CAD support, pipe and structural steel shop fabrication drawings, document control, field quality and progress measurement, and cost and schedule reporting for EPC projects.

• And these projects aren't limited to a local scale; they are positioned globally, reflecting our worldwide impact.

• You'll be a part of our vibrant PWR Global Practice and contribute to power generation projects involving Civil, Electrical, I&C, Mechanical, and Structural disciplines, covering both conventional and renewable energy projects.

• Assisting in preparing/creating electrical deliverables like one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics,

• interconnection drawings, equipment layouts, cable schedules, panel schedules, power, grounding and lighting layouts for constructing/installation of new or modifications of existing power generating facility electrical systems

• Assisting in developing equipment specifications, and reviewing vendor drawings

• Assisting in creating electrical system modeling including grounding, load flow, short-circuit, and arc-flash analysis using software like ETAP and SKM

• Coordinating, meeting, and corresponding with clients and the BMcD-US team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

• Candidate must have secured a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade in the qualifying examination from a reputed university/institute in India

• Candidate Should be passing out as part of the 2027 batch only

• Basic software experience utilizing Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat PDF)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong analytical problem-solving skills

• Excellent learning ability
