Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Content Developer to join our dynamic team. This individual will be responsible for creating high-quality, engaging, and insightful content through interviews with key individuals who hold strategic importance to our publication. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in journalism or content creation, with exceptional interviewing, writing, and editing skills.

Location and Availability

Location: Remote work. Please ensure you are fully available during working hours by phone and email. Calls, messages and emails must be responded to properly. Any base location changes must be informed through a formal request.

Requirements

Must have: Candidates must have their own laptop and mobile with sim. You may avail BYOD policy to buy a laptop.

Employment Details

Probation duration: 6 months.
Work Time: 9:30 am to 6:30 pm weekdays and two Saturdays 9:30 am to 2 pm.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit and proofread articles, blog posts, and press releases on renewable energy topics and market trends.
• Write, edit and proofread content, including breaking news in the renewable energy sector quickly and accurately.
• Report on companies of all sizes, government policies, and technologies, contributing multiple stories a day with appropriate tone.
• Develop stories along with supporting images for publication on our news-based website and weekly newsletters/reports.
• Develop fresh angles and offer new insights for readers.
• Report news on tight deadlines, including making calls, asking tough questions, and pursuing stories when needed.
• Coordinate with government agencies to obtain information and news.
• Stay on top of sector news and follow up on developments.
• Write long in-depth analytical content with comments and inputs from industry experts.
• Interview influential professionals from the industry.

Skills & Qualifications

• Superior writing and editing skills with ability to present information clearly at an appropriate level of sophistication.
• Strong interview skills to extract information on technical topics and turn it into accessible content.
• Ability to analyze data, news, and trends and curate concise articles.
• Ability to initiate and curate new content and ideas.
• Internet research skills (qualitative).
• Experience in writing financial, technical articles; American-style English writing is a plus.
• Basic photography skills.
• Knowledge of online publishing tools and HTML is a plus.
• Strong coordination with PR agencies, corporate communications, and market teams.
• Ability to independently locate press releases and articles using specific keywords.
• Proficient internet surfing skills.
