Job summary

Magna Powertrain in Bengaluru, India, seeks a Trainee Engineer (Vendor/Contract Management) to support end-to-end contract governance and vendor relations within procurement. You will help manage renewals, track expiry, and assist SAP-based purchasing workflows.

This entry-level role offers exposure to global auto tech projects, collaboration with internal stakeholders, and opportunities to learn matrix processes and SOP development in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain or vendor management; Master's degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage contract renewals and track expiry dates; maintain contract repositories and ensure timely renewals.
• Monitor vendor contract terms; update and maintain the contract inventory database.
• Create Purchase Requisitions (PRs) in SAP for different regions.
• Follow up with vendors and internal stakeholders for quotations, invoices, and support requests; schedule meetings and document MoMs.
• Create and manage tickets, tasks, and service requests in Matrix42 and update inventory records.
• Create and update SOPs, process documents, and knowledge-based articles.
• Support procurement activities, ensure compliance, and drive requests to timely closure.

Job Introduction:

Responsible for managing vendor relationships and overseeing the end-to-end contract lifecycle to ensure compliance. Acts as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive effective procurement and contract governance.

Major Responsibilities:

• Manage contract renewals and track contract expiry dates, maintain contract repositories report and ensure timely renewals.
• Monitor Vendor contract terms, Update and maintain the contract inventory database.
• Create Purchase Requisitions (PRs) in SAP for different regions.
• Follow up with vendors, Internal stakeholders for quotations, invoices, and support requests. Schedule meetings and document Minutes of Meeting (MoM).

Knowledge and Education:
