Job summary

NNE invites applications for a Trainee Engineer position in Bengaluru, India. You will join a multidisciplinary team supporting mechanical equipment selection, flow analysis, and the design of tanks and vessels on large pharma projects.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in mechanical or chemical engineering, with internship or training in process engineering. Training and onboarding are provided to develop Your skills within a global engineering consultancy.

  • Ability to understand design principles and process workflows.

  • As Trainee Engineer, support tasks like dimensioning and specification of mechanical equipment.
  • Perform flow analysis and assist in design of tanks and vessels.
  • Interpret 3D models, layouts and engineering drawings.

Main Roles & Responsibilities

As a Trainee Engineer, you’ll be working with the multi-disciplinary team where you’ll be supporting following tasks:

  • Dimensioning and specification of mechanical equipment e.g. heat exchangers, pumps etc.
  • Dimensioning and specification of auto & manual valves, relief/ Safety devices, control devices, pipes and in-line components.
  • Perform flow analysis
  • Specification and design of Tank and Vessels
  • Ability to interpret and work with 3D models, layouts, and engineering drawings.

  • Thrive in a workday that can bring both varied and complex work, which sometimes can be unpredictable when working on projects
  • Can communicate information in a transparent and precise manner to both your manager and colleagues and other relevant stakeholders
  • Can organize tasks in a structured way
  • Are curious and open-minded to learn new things
  • Have a positive approach and can be persistent when facing challenges
  • Basic knowledge of 3D design and modeling software such as Autodesk Plant 3D, AutoCAD 3D, SolidWorks, Inventor or similar engineering design tools
Education and Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Completed an internship, apprenticeship, or relevant process engineering training/course, with the ability to understand design principles and process workflows
