Job Overview

Function Overview: GIC Sales & Commercial Capabilities partners with global General Mills sales teams to provide analytical horsepower and enable business continuity so they can focus on core activities – Selling, driving distribution gains, and optimizing merchandising plans to deliver sales volume targets. We enable customer, pricing & promotion strategies across global markets through Sales Execution, Trade & Strategic Revenue Management and Category Management. Teams specialize in Advanced Analytics, Visual Insights & Planogramming.

Role Overview: The Strategic Revenue Management (SRM) team is looking for a hands-on, cross-functional contributor at the intersection of sales, marketing, finance, and data analysis to enhance the global Revenue Management capability. This role supports the Meals-Baking / Snacks OU pricing and trade strategy with OU and BU partners including Brand, Sales Strategy & Planning, Capabilities, and Leadership. Collaboration with the full SRM team is required to develop, implement, and support NAR strategies & tactics, track results, share best practices and lead L&D.

Key Accountabilities

50% of Time - Problem Solving & Analytics

  • Supporting Brand/SSP teams in planning, modelling and tracking of SRM actions through robust data analytics
  • Ownership of in-year SRM tracking & tools & communications
  • Contribute towards building of SRM strategy in QPS, TKIs, Sales Release, Brand LRPs
  • Support price/trade goals with relevant insights from SRM tools, competitive reporting in BU Activation Forums
  • Utilize key SRM tools such as Engine/MRR to monitor & drive trade efficiencies
  • Collaboration with Central SRM and broader CMRA team

30% of Time Engaging Leader

  • Assisting in business partners’ development, coaching, and trainings related to SRM
  • Actively create a positive culture for both SRM team and OU partners; develop and drive assessment of SRM tactics
  • Measure price execution relentlessly; adjust as needed
  • Partner with L&D team for robust training plans
  • Active role in business & planning meetings and events

  • Ensure TAT is upheld via awareness of process requirements and meeting benchmark time estimates with clear stakeholder communication

Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree
  • Comfort pulling, using, and analyzing multiple data sources, e.g., syndicated data
  • Strong MS Office expertise and technical skills
  • Natural curiosity, comfort with quantitative/strategic problems, strong analytical skills, NAR business acumen
  • Able to take objective perspectives on consumer behavior and competitive landscape
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and develop creative solutions
  • Understanding of financial impact of strategies and partnership with Finance on returns
  • Ability to coach, train, and present effectively
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Tableau
  • Experience with data analysis tools (Nielsen, SRM Tools such as Engine or MRR, and Trade Planner)
  • Experience in NAR FMCG/CPG business
  • Experience with sales, marketing, and/or finance
  • Strong pricing and trade analytics expertise
  • Previous Revenue Management experience preferred
