Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your costing and technical expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and detail-oriented teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in managing the cost base of traction products and ensuring the technical cost of parts and assemblies aligns with project and tender requirements. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across the business (such as Engineering, Sourcing, and Finance), support negotiations with suppliers, and contribute to the definition of target costs, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of cost estimation activities and cost breakdown analyses, but also promote a cost-conscious culture within the Engineering team.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing quick costing during pre-tendering phases based on product cost databases and project execution feedback
  • Supporting bid managers in preparing Instructions for Quotation (IFQ) and defining cost structures
  • Leading cost estimation activities to align with target costs and improving competitiveness
  • Collaborating with Finance teams to optimize financial costs and overall bid competitiveness
  • Consolidating tender costs and ensuring consistency between scope, costing, and planning
  • Transferring tender costing data to project teams and supporting variation order costing
  • Contributing to cost database improvements and generating design-to-cost ideas

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in product costing or tender costing, with at least 12 years of industry experience (including 3–4 years in a costing role)
  • Experience in the electrical industry, particularly HV/LV cubicle costing
  • Knowledge of value analysis, product cost, and cost models
  • Familiarity with financial rules, operational flows, and contractual aspects
  • A costing certification (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially MS Excel
  • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Fluency in English
