Job summary

A global leader in renewable energy is seeking a Tools Inspector to oversee the quality and safety of tools used in construction and maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will have a BE or BTech in Mechanical or Electrical engineering with over 7 years of experience. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, preparing reports on tool conditions, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Certification in relevant NDT methods is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in relevant field.
  • Competent Certification in specific standards set by DISH.
  • NDT testing certification: UT, MPT, RT.

Responsibilities

  • Perform risk assessments to identify hazards related to tools.
  • Prepare inspection reports documenting tool conditions.
  • Record the condition of tools and machinery, noting defects.

One Tools department is operating Tool Warehouses in different countries globally and Tools Region APC IN is part of one. India Tools warehouse is supplying Installation Commissioning tools to Project department, Operation Maintenance tools to Service department. Our aim is to deliver qualified tools to our stakeholder to operate the Construction Service activity safer, smarter better way and to be sustaining Vestas a global leader in wind energy sector.

Responsibilities
  • Well versatile at Quality inspection methods and standards
  • Well knowledge in Load Testing Process for Lifting Tools Tackles
  • Obtaining the knowledge from Documents and Standards such as Technical Specification, Dimensional Inspection, Functionality Testing Dye Penetrant (DP) Test
  • Handling the Site CTQ tools reports and Generation of reports
  • Record the condition of tools and machinery, noting any defects or necessary repairs.
  • Perform risk assessments to identify hazards related to faulty or inadequate tools and equipment.
  • Prepare inspection reports that document the condition of tools and machines, including any issues requiring attention or repairs.
  • Work closely with Site WH team and supervisors to identify tools and machinery that may require attention.
Qualifications
  • BE or BTech - Mechanical / Electrical with 7+ yrs Experience
  • Competent Certification in specific standards set by the Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health (DISH) in Tamil Nadu - Section 28, 29, 21 - Rule 55, 55A, 53 61 A Under 1948 Regulation
  • Certified L2 at Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) testing Methods : Ultrasonic Testing (UT) , Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT) Radiographic Testing (RT)
  • Knowledge Understanding on IS, ISO EN Standards such as ISO 4301, 1182, 9927 9001, EN 13155, 13414 15011 IS 3938 6070 3181
Competencies
  • Knowledge in SAP MS OFFICE
  • Problem solving skills and Knowledge in Quality Analysis Tools - Fishbone Diagram , Pareto Chart (80/20 Rule) , Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) , Voice of the Customer (VOC)
  • Safety awareness certification training would be beneficial
  • A competency certificate from either Gujarat or Karnataka State is preferred.
