Job description

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for supervising a crew on the company's drilling rig, ensuring safe and efficient work practices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Efficiently supervise and ensure safe and effective work practices of the assigned drilling activities.
  2. Ensure that crew members are properly trained and familiarized with safety procedures, manuals, and the proper care and maintenance of the rig and drill string, including lubrication of equipment and overall housekeeping of the rig.
  3. Responsible for housekeeping, rig servicing, lubrication, and the general upkeep of the rig.
  4. Enforce and clarify company policies and procedures.
  5. Timely and accurate submission of reports, including drilling reports, preventive maintenance/equipment reports, and safety reports.
  6. Maintain adequate working knowledge of the assigned station during blowout preventer (BOP) control.
  7. Maintain safety standards and procedures, ensuring the work area remains in safe working condition.
  8. Abide by company policies and procedures.
  9. Perform other duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Must be a graduate; an engineering degree is preferred but not mandatory.

Must have good verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with staff, management, customers, and vendors.
