Job summary

TE Connectivity seeks a Mold Maintenance professional to identify and repair mold tooling, ensure dimensional accuracy, and support production through cross-functional collaboration. You will analyze root causes, maintain quality per TS16949, and troubleshoot hot-runner molds using precision measurement tools.

Candidates should hold a Tool & Die Diploma, understand mold manufacturing phases, and work on machines like surface grinders, lathes, and mills to ensure top-notch tooling quality.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Tool & Die Making from a reputed institute.
• Knowledge about various phases of mold manufacturing process.
• In-depth knowledge of handling and different categories of molds.
• Basic knowledge of engineering and specialty plastics such as Nylon, PBT, PPO, PPS, LCP, PC, POM, ABS and PPA, HDPE.
• Knowledge and experience about production systems and Kaizen/standardization of work.

Responsibilities

• Handle and maintain injection mold tools.
• Root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances with calipers, gauges, micrometers, and other instruments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Stabilize and solve mold defects to support production.
• Operate surface grinding, lathe, milling, drilling equipment.
• Ensure safety and adherence to TS16949 quality procedures.
• Facilitate timely mold handover to production per plan.

Job description

Identifies the specifications and requirements of the tools and recommends revisions in the design or fabrication, materials, and production processes.

Responsibilities

• Handling & Maintenance of INJECTION MOLD TOOLS.
• Root Cause analysis of the problem & taking appropriate actions to eliminate the same.
• Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as Calipers, Gauge blocks, Micrometers, dial indicators, VMS, Tool maker Microscope, Trimos height gauge, profile projector etc.
• Involvement with cross functional teams to implement corrective & preventive actions for tool correction issues.
• Maintaining documents as per TS16949 requirement. Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings.
• Expertise in specialized Tool defects solving and stabilization & moving for production.
• Capability of handling machines such as Surface grinding, Lathe, Milling, Drilling, Ultrasonic cleaning.
• Responsible for quality Improvement & control.
• Conduct trial runs and modifications to achieve required product quality.
• Identify and resolve tooling-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality procedures.

Critical Experience

• Overall, 2 to 4 years of experience in Mold Maintenance.
• Proficiency in handling connector type of molds will be added advantage.
• Responsibilities include shop floor discipline, maintaining 5S activities, and following company policies.
• Facilitate and control timely mold handed over to production as per plan.
• Thorough knowledge in handling Hot-runner molds.
