About the Position

This role requires you to specialize in covering topics from economic, social, and legal perspectives. It necessitates a deep understanding of these areas while maintaining a knack for transforming complex subjects into engaging, accessible content. As a Features Writer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our long-standing strengths in traditional lifestyle and entertainment content with insightful analyses, data demystification, and thought-provoking narratives.

Areas of Responsibility

Scope of work:

1. Work primarily for the additional content aimed at adding heft to the existing TIMS content as part of the ‘Edit Team’.
2. Ideate, write, rewrite, and anchor feature and news packages and stories.
3. Contribute towards other feature stories as and when required.

Educational Qualifications Required

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Journalism, Economics, Sociology, Law, or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience as a Features Writer in a reputable media house, with a focus on economic, social, and legal topics.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality feature articles with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in blending analytical rigor with engaging storytelling.
• Strong research, writing, and editing skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of journalistic integrity and efficiency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with AP style or other similar editorial guidelines.
• Proficiency in digital publishing tools and content management systems is advantageous.
