Job description

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Determines work priorities, assignments and schedules for assigned payroll staff; monitors quantity and quality of work. Performs related functions such as interviewing, recommending hire, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, etc.
  2. Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure optimal payroll processing.
  3. Serves as a point of contact for identifying and resolving payroll processing issues.
  4. Partners with the Payroll Manager of Operations, HR, and Benefits to ensure that processes are documented, communicated and understood, and that employee issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
  5. Assists in ensuring operational compliance with internal control procedures and applicable statutory/regulatory requirements.
  6. Complies with Federal, State, and Local requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; and advising management on needed actions.
  7. Works with the Payroll Manager to develop the skills and knowledge of the payroll staff supervised.
  8. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.

  1. Ability to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
  2. Ability to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
  3. Ability to remain alert at all times; pay close attention to details.
  4. Ability to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.

Job Types: Full-time, Regular / Permanent

Salary: ₹17,678.63 – ₹70,000.00 per month
