The Role

We are hiring for a Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) Manager to join the LSEG Risk Intelligence (RI) Division. This dynamic role requires an individual to support delivery of the RI division TPRM commitments with strong governance and stakeholder management. The role reports to the Head of the RI Risk and Controls team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Help mature the RI’s TPRM risk lifecycle—covering due diligence, onboarding, ongoing monitoring, issue management, and exit—so that third‑party services are resilient, compliant, secure, and aligned to business objectives. The role drives a risk‑based, data‑driven programme across critical suppliers and outsourced arrangements, partnering with Procurement, Legal, Security, Privacy, and the Business as required.
  • Support the RI TPRM framework, policy, standards, and procedures; ensure alignment with the enterprise risk management framework (ERMF).
  • Maintain risk taxonomy and tiering methodology for vendors (e.g., criticality, data sensitivity, concentration).
  • Help define and track KRIs/KPIs; drive continuous improvement and audit‑readiness.
  • Help ensure the RI TPRM frameworks are in line with regulatory requirements (e.g., DORA, FCA’s Operational Resilience framework, Australia’s CPS 230 Prudential standard).
  • Help ensure the organisation meets all the LSEG TPRM policy divisional requirements.
  • Help develop and manage risk management programs, including scenario testing and stress‑testing exercises as required.
  • Oversee inherent risk scoping and third‑party segmentation.
  • Ensure proportional controls and risk treatment plans aligned to risk appetite.
  • Help ensure the RI division is aware of and adhering to all required regulations and controls.
  • Support the preparation for audits and regulatory inspections, ensuring that all required documentation and evidence are prepared in advance.
  • Present key TPRM updates to the RI Risk Committee and group‑driven governance forums to ensure they understand potential risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Provide thought leadership and strategic insights on TPRM to senior management.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with other teams (e.g., IT, legal, compliance) to ensure all aspects of TPRM are being effectively handled.
  • Identify areas for improvement and champion projects to enhance the organisation's overall TPRM posture.
  • Support the development and delivery of training programmes to increase awareness of TPRM requirements across the organisation.
Skills and Experience Required
  • TPRM Experience:
    • Strong background in TPRM.
    • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as DORA, FCA’s operational resilience agenda, and SOC2 compliance desirable.
    • Experience in defining and implementing TPRM controls, key performance indicators, and key control indicators (KCIs) to measure effectiveness and mitigate risks.
  • Senior‑Level Communication & Presentation Skills:
    • Experience presenting complex TPRM data to senior stakeholders in a clear, actionable manner.
    • Ability to influence senior leaders on risk‑related decisions and TPRM improvements.
    • Strong report‑writing skills to deliver structured and impactful presentations.
  • Scenario Testing & Stress‑Testing:
    • Experience in conducting scenario testing and stress‑testing exercises, assessing the impact of various risk events on business functions.
  • Key Competencies:
    • Analytical Thinking: strong ability to analyse TPRM risks and identify solutions that balance resilience with efficiency.
    • Problem‑Solving: ability to think creatively and address complex challenges.
    • Collaboration: ability to work across teams and divisions and influence colleagues at all levels to improve TPRM risk management processes.
    • Attention to Detail: strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness when designing controls and assessing risks.
    • Programme Management: able to plan and execute effectively.
    • Relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
    • Process and detail oriented.
    • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive projects to completion.
    • Ability to adapt to change and multi‑task in a dynamic environment.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    • Able to work effectively on their own or as part of a team.
Experience
  • Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following risk areas: TPRM / Operational Risk Management / Non‑Financial Risk Management.
