Qualifications

• B.Tech in Mechanical, Thermal, Energy, or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience designing thermal systems for heat from chimneys, furnaces, and waste heat sources.
• Develop thermal management solutions like heat jackets and heat exchangers with energy balance analysis.
• Basic CAD proficiency in SolidWorks, OnShape, or similar CAD software.
• Mathematical modelling for heat transfer calculations and energy balance.
• Heat transfer fundamentals: conduction, convection, radiation.
• Thermal applications in chimney heat recovery or industrial systems.
• CFD tools knowledge: ANSYS Fluent, OPENFOAM, COMSOL.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop thermal energy systems from concepts to final implementation.
• Create detailed 3D models and drawings using CAD tools like Onshape, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Catia.
• Build precise assembly models for complex thermal/energy systems.
• Apply thermal engineering knowledge: heat transfer, equipment design, and optimization.
• Support manufacturing integration to optimize production and assembly workflows.

Location: Delhi, India

Duration: 6 Months
Join our team as a Thermal Design Intern and contribute directly to the innovation and development of crucial thermal energy systems. This role offers unique exposure to real-world challenges, including significant time spent working in rural environments, bridging design concepts with practical thermal design and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Design & Development: Implement thermal engineering knowledge to design thermal energy systems, and development of energy systems from initial concepts to final implementation.
• CAD Expertise: Leverage your proficiency in CAD software like Onshape (preferred), AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Catia to produce accurate and detailed 3D models and 2D engineering drawings.
• Assembly Modelling: Construct precise assembly models for complex thermal/energy systems.
• Technical Application: Apply your knowledge of thermal engineering, heat transfer, heat transfer equipment design, and design optimization of thermal energy systems.
• Manufacturing Integration: Contribute to ensuring designs are optimized for efficient production and assembly workflows.

Desirable skills and experience

• B. Tech in Mechanical, Thermal, Energy, or Chemical Engineering.
• Design and develop thermal systems for heat utilization from chimneys, furnaces, and industrial waste heat sources
• Create thermal management solutions, including heat jackets, heat exchangers, and thermal recovery systems. Perform heat transfer calculations, thermal modelling, and energy balance analysis
• Basic CAD Proficiency: Functional skills in SolidWorks, OnShape, or similar CAD software for thermal system modelling
• Mathematical Modelling: Strong analytical skills for heat transfer calculations, energy balance, and thermal efficiency analysis
• Heat Transfer Fundamentals: Deep understanding of conduction, convection, radiation, andthermal system design principles
• Thermal Applications: Experience with chimney heat recovery, heat jackets, heat exchangers, or industrial thermal systems
• CFD Analysis:Working knowledge and hands-on experience with ANSYS Fluent, OPENFOAM,COMSOL, or equivalent thermal simulation tools
• B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal engineering, Energy engineering, and Chemical engineering.
• Practical Knowledge:Hands-on experience with thermal or energy systems and a foundational understanding of thermal engineering, heat transfer, and heat transfer equipment design, design optimization of thermal energy systems.
• IT Proficiency: Comfortable using IT tools for documentation and general office tasks.
• Communication: Fluent in reading and conversing in English (preferably).
• Problem-Solving Mindset: A strong sense of curiosity and a proactive approach to understanding and addressing technical challenges.
• Collaborative Spirit: Eager to advise and brainstorm solutions with the team to achieve shared goals.
