About the Role:

This is a revenue generation role where the incumbent will be responsible for selling our advertising solutions to media agencies and marketers for Star Thrills & Star Romance. The position holder will maintain relationships with a designated set of key strategic accounts and identify new accounts to maximize revenue through the sale of commercial time and branded solutions.

Context:

The cluster comprises Star Gold Romance, Star Gold Thrills & UTV Bindaas. Star Romance & Thrills have recently been relaunched, and Thrills has come on Free Dish, leading to the channel climbing up the rankings. SG Thrills is now among the top 4 channels in the Hindi Movies genre and requires focus for incremental growth. At the same time, SG Romance needs attention as it is a growing channel in the genre.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic / Policy related KRAs:

  1. Develop a thorough understanding of the product, its strengths, positioning, content, etc. to leverage for pitch impact and effectiveness.
  2. Understand the industries/categories being serviced and the unique marketing challenges faced at each client organization.
  3. Network, engage with, and build strong relationships across levels at client and agency organizations to understand business trends and revenue potential.
  4. Demonstrate thought partnership through a comprehensive understanding of the client and agency organization, their marketing needs, and campaign efficiency metrics.
  5. Build a strategy to derive maximum revenue for your accounts.

Operational / Process / Technology related KRAs:

  1. Create, negotiate, and close deals that maximize price/market share and deliver on the client’s and agency’s marketing objectives.
  2. Map competition (Sales strategy/Programs/Clients) and use market intelligence to develop strategies to maximize market share.
  3. Deliver maximum value on deals by collaborating with cross-functional teams across the organization (PRS, Operations).
  4. Act as an ‘Account Manager’ rather than a ‘Seller’ by providing dedicated account management to develop and nurture strong long-term relationships with key accounts.
  5. Business development to identify new clients.

Financial Accountability / Commercial Impact:

  1. Accurate monthly revenue projections.
  2. Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly/annual quotas.
  3. Achievement of CPRP benchmarks and high market share.
  4. Continuously identify opportunities for additional revenue sources through non-FCT avenues – Brand Solutions.
  5. Continuously strive to identify opportunities to maximize revenue.

Performance Measures:

  1. Monthly / Quarterly / Annual Revenue.
  2. Price / yield.
  3. Client Count (Effective coverage).
  4. Accuracy of projections and productivity.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum Qualification: MBA.
  2. Total of about 2-5 years of sales experience.
