Role & Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with prescribed curricula (CBSE/ICSE or state board).
  • Develop clear, structured lesson plans incorporating literature, grammar, and writing workshops.
  • Assess student progress through quizzes, essays, presentations, and standardized tests.
  • Manage classroom behavior, foster a positive learning environment, and address individual student needs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance and growth.
  • Collaborate with faculty to design cross-curricular projects and co-curricular activities.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, English Literature, or related field.
  • B.Ed. certification and CTET/TET qualification.
  • 1–3 years of teaching experience at the secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in creating assessment tools and tracking student progress.

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in English or Education. Candidates passed out from DU is preferred.
  • Experience with digital teaching tools and interactive whiteboards.
  • Familiarity with CBSE, ICSE, or International Baccalaureate English curricula.
  • Experience leading debate clubs, literary societies, or writing workshops.
