Job summary

The Indian Rug is seeking a Textile Designer for a full-time onsite role. You will develop original rug designs with patterns, motifs, and color palettes aligned to the brand, and create production-ready artwork.

You will research trends and techniques, refine designs with feedback, and work closely with creative and marketing teams to support product launches and visual storytelling.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in textiles, including knowledge of materials, weaving techniques, and Textile Prints.
• Proficiency in Graphic Design and Graphics for pattern creation, digital mockups, and production-ready files.
• Ability to translate client requirements into cohesive design concepts and customized patterns.
• Attention to detail, strong aesthetic judgment, and a portfolio showcasing textile or surface design work.
• Familiarity with design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) and an interest in Indian craftsmanship and artisanal techniques.

Role Description

This is a full-time onsite role for a Textile Designer at The Indian Rug. The Textile Designer will develop original rug designs, including patterns, motifs, and color palettes aligned with the brand’s aesthetic and client requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating digital and hand-drawn design concepts and preparing production-ready artwork. The role also involves researching trends, materials, and techniques and refining designs based on feedback.
