Job summary

ADPL is seeking an innovative Textile Designer to develop original print designs, weave structures, and surface treatments for our ethnic and western apparel ranges. You will bridge fashion trends with raw material development, ensuring high visual appeal and technical manufacturability.

You will collaborate with mills, vendors, and artisan clusters to translate concepts into scalable fabrics, manage an organized swatch library, and stay ahead of seasonal storylines through trend-informed design

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Textile Design (NIFT/NID preferred).
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in print and weave development for women's apparel.
• Expert knowledge of textile chemistry, printing techniques (digital, screen, rotary), and fabric compositions.
• Advanced CAD, Photoshop, and Illustrator skills.

Responsibilities

• Print & pattern design: Create original print concepts tailored for seasonal storylines.
• Base fabric development: Experiment with yarns, weave structures, knitted textures, and fabric finishes with mills/vendors.
• Color matching and strike-offs: Manage lab dips, strike-offs, and swatches to ensure color accuracy.
• Vendor & mill collaboration: Work with textile mills, digital print houses, and artisan clusters to translate designs.
• Library management: Maintain an archive of swatches, print artworks, color palettes, and vendor developments.

• Print & Pattern Design: Create original print concepts (digital, screen, block, placement prints, and continuous repeats) tailored for seasonal storylines.
• Base Fabric Development: Experiment with diverse yarns, weave structures, knitted textures, and fabric finishes in coordination with mills and vendors.
• Color Matching & Strike-Off Approvals: Manage color lab dips, print strike-offs, and woven swatches to guarantee color accuracy and production standards.
• Vendor & Mill Collaboration: Work directly with textile mills, digital print houses, and artisan clusters to translate designs into scalable commercial fabrics.
• Library Management: Maintain an organized archive of swatches, print artworks, color palettes, and vendor developments.
