Job Description: As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining a broadcast-less domain network infrastructure. Your job will involve conducting research on network products, services, protocols and standards to support network procurement and development efforts. You will also install, configure, and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, and Wi-Fi controllers. You will implement and maintain VLAN and VPN networks, as well as gateway level AV and spam protection for the email system and packet throughout the corporate network. Additionally, you will publish corporate resources to outside the network and maintain 100% security on the same. You will also be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CCTV surveillance systems at the corporate network.
Responsibilities:- Design broadcast-less domain network infrastructure.
- Design network with structured cabling infrastructure.
- Conduct research on network products, services, protocols and standards to support network procurement and development efforts.
- Install, configure, and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, and Wi-Fi controllers.
- Implement and maintain VLAN and VPN networks.
- Implement gateway level AV and spam protection for the email system and packet throughout the corporate network.
- Publish corporate resources to outside the network and maintain 100% security on the same.
- Design, implement, and maintain CCTV surveillance systems at the corporate network.
- Maintain surveillance footage for a period of 20 days and retrieve the footage based on the need.
- Prepare BOM based on the network and surveillance need.
- Collect and maintain hardware, software, and applications licenses from buddy teams.
- Keep monitor on corporate network performance and optimizing the same.
- Identify and troubleshoot any network related issues such as network loops, security violations, etc.
- Provide network support with a variety of operating systems.
- Install and configure computer network equipment.
- Implement and manage disaster recovery and backup.
- Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades.
- Plan future IT solutions.
- Ensure network security and connectivity.
- Schedule and maintain configuration backup for all network related devices.
- Document corporate network infrastructure.
- Maintain network-related assets.
Requirements:- Good understanding of OSI Model and TCP/IP protocol suite (IP, ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, SMTP, FTP, TFTP).
- Understanding of bridging, switching concepts, and LAN technologies.
- Strong knowledge of IP addressing, subnetting, and routing concepts.
- Strong knowledge of VLAN and VPN configuration, switching isl and dotlq.
- Good understanding of network security concepts.
- Knowledge of the difference between vSwitch and port group configurations.
- Good analytics and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong knowledge of DNS and DHCP.
- Experience on virtualized network such as SD-WAN.
