Job summary

NTT DATA in Bengaluru, Karnataka (IN) invites talented Testing Engineers to join as Senior Specialist. You will design, develop, and maintain robust automation test frameworks using Java, Selenium, TestNG, and Cucumber (BDD) for complex web and backend systems.

You will implement BDD with Gherkin, automate RESTful APIs with Rest Assured, perform SQL and Cassandra data verifications, and drive quality through CI/CD integration and Agile ceremonies.

Qualifications

• Experience designing automation test frameworks and strategies.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Selenium, TestNG and Cucumber (BDD).
• Proficient in API automation using Rest Assured and data validation with SQL/Cassandra.

We are currently seeking a Testing Engineering Senior Specialist to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

• Automation Tester - Design, develop, and maintain robust automation test frameworks using Java, Selenium, TestNG, and Cucumber (BDD).
• Implement BDD test scenarios with Gherkin, working closely with business and development teams to ensure test coverage aligns with requirements.
• Automate API testing for RESTful services using Rest Assured.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across web and backend systems.
• Perform database validation and backend data verification using SQL and Cassandra (NoSQL).
• Analyze test results, log defects with clear reproduction steps, and collaborate with developers for timely resolution.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies - stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives and contribute to the overall quality strategy.
• Maintain test code using Git, following best practices for version control and team collaboration.
• Continuously improve test coverage, framework performance, and QA processes.
