Job summary

P3 Design Solutions in Chennai, India seeks an Automation Tester to design and run test cases across functional, regression and integration scenarios. You will verify EBOM structures, data consistency in PLM systems, and build automated scripts using Selenium, while performing API tests and SQL validations.

The role requires hands-on automation experience, familiarity with SDLC/STLC, and strong analytical and communication skills. Automotive domain knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

Role & responsibilities

• Prepare and execute test cases and test scenarios based on business and functional requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing.
• Test automotive applications, particularly EBOM (Engineering Bill of Materials) structures, product configurations, and engineering change processes.
• Validate BOM data, part numbers, revisions, product structures, and data consistency within PLM applications.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts using Selenium or similar tools.
• Perform API testing and database validation using SQL.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects in coordination with development teams.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience in Automation Testing.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
• Experience with Selenium, Jira, Java/Python, Postman, and SQL.
• Knowledge of the automotive domain and EBOM testing is highly preferred.
