Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Commissioning Engineer for Fire Alarm systems in Mumbai. The role involves on-site commissioning, integration with Simplex, Edwards, and Notifier panels, and ensuring quality hardware and software delivery.

You will coordinate with architects, clients and contractors, and maintain project timelines while adhering to safety and process standards. Applicants should have 5–8 years’ experience, a degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Candidates must have 5–8 years of experience in Fire Alarm commissioning.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72, IBC and relevant codes/standards is required.
• Strong communication and coordination skills for field deployment across sites.

Responsibilities

• Render commissioning for Fire Alarm System on site.
• Configure FAS graphics and documentation.
• Perform testing of equipment on site and ensure defect-free delivery.
• Coordinate with Architects, Clients and Contractors at different project stages.
• Maintain assigned KPIs and meet project timelines.
• Demonstrate safe and compliant operation per Zero Harm standards.

What you will do

In this role, you will be part of Commissioning Engineer Team for Fire Alarm System

How you will do it

• To Render commissioning for Fire Alarm System

• Should have strong domain knowledge of Fire Alarm (Simplex, Edwards, Notifier etc.)

• FAS commissioning and programming for Simplex Panels, certification would be an added advantage.

• Configuring the FAS graphics implementation and documentation.

• Ensure quality assurance and defect free hardware and software package delivery

• Adherence with all processes and guidelines to execute project within timeline

• Testing equipment’s on site

• Demonstrate adherence to operational process requirements to drive efficiency

• Should be able to maintain assigned KPIs and should own to meet them.

• Achieving customer satisfaction by completing the work on time.

• Maintaining relationships with key influencers / decision-makers with customer organizations to get the certifications on work done

• Coordinate with other vendors for interface

• Co-ordination with the Architects, Clients and Contractors at various stages of the project

• Managing team of site engineers & Technicians working under and supporting on technical aspects to resolve the customer query / issues at sites

What we look for

• ME/BE/ Diploma (Electrical/ Electronics/Instrumentation/ Electronics & Telecommunication)
• 5-8 years’ experience in Fire Alarm commissioning
• Knowledge on NFPA 72, IBC & Relevant codes & standards.
• Other system design and commissioning will be added advantage.
• Time bound delivery of project deliverables
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with detail as well as with general assignments
• A professional, results oriented individual with a high degree of self-motivation
• Strong Communication & Presentation Skills.
