EY-Consulting - Automation Testing - Senior

The opportunity

As an Automation Test Engineer, you will be responsible for performing automation expediency, suggesting automation approaches, building automation frameworks, automating manual test cases, and maintaining and executing regression tests. Your role requires expertise in automation tools like Selenium and Protractor, knowledge of TestNG and Cucumber BDD frameworks for web and mobile testing, and proficiency in Java. Experience with the Guidewire platform or Guidewire cloud environment and familiarity with GT UI/API tools are also essential.

Building Framework Components and Libraries

• Experience with Guidewire platform or Guidewire cloud environment, and familiarity with GT UI/API tools
• Strong experience in automating web applications using Selenium WebDriver with TestNG
• Knowledge of web service automation using Rest Assured
• Designing and implementing test automation strategies
• Creating automation test plans and obtaining approvals
• Designing and implementing automation frameworks
• Managing test automation resources
• Creating, enhancing, debugging, and running test cases
• Providing automation test estimations
• Organizing defect management processes
• Handling changes and conducting regression testing
• Resolving object identification and error handling issues
• Generating test summary reports
• Coordinating with test team members and developers to resolve issues
• Interacting with client-side personnel to resolve issues and update status
• Leading teams across geographies
• Participating in automation training within the company

Minimum qualifications

• BE/BTech/MCA/M.Sc
• 5-8 years of automation consulting experience across multiple platforms and domains
• Experience in Java, Selenium, and API automation
• Experience with the Guidewire platform

Preferred qualifications

• Guidewire Cloud certification
• GT UI experience

Additional skills

• Hands-on experience with Selenium frameworks like TestNG, Cucumber, Appium, Rest Assured
• Experience developing automation frameworks from scratch and articulating automation value and ROI to clients
• Experience conducting proof-of-concept and tool selection
• Ability to act as an individual contributor and interface effectively with clients
• Excellent communication skills and clarity in articulation
• Willingness to perform both individual contributor and team leader roles
