Job summary

UST is seeking an experienced test automation engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience to design robust test plans and automate end-to-end scenarios using Playwright and Python.

You will maintain frameworks, integrate tests with CI workflows (GitHub Actions, CircleCI), work with SQL/MySQL, and contribute to quality metrics in a data-driven culture.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of test automation experience.
• Proficient in Playwright and Python, preferably Pytest.
• Strong SQL knowledge; experience with MySQL.
• Experience maintaining test automation frameworks and CI integrations.
• Familiar with Docker and cloud environments (AWS/GCP) a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Role Description

3 to 5 years of test automation experience

• Ability to create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Good experience in Playwright and Python, preferably with Pytest.
• Excellent knowledge of Database concepts, strong knowledge of SQL and experience with MySQL.
• Experience in maintaining test automation frameworks, including reusable utilities, fixtures, test data management, reporting, and configuration handling.
• Experience handling asynchronous workflows, including file downloads/uploads and background processing.
• Experience integrating automated tests with GitHub Actions workflows and CircleCI, including test execution, configuration, and reporting.
• Experience with test reporting and observability, such as Allure or similar reporting frameworks, logs and CI artifacts.
• Experience with performance testing using tools such as Locust or similar frameworks is a plus.
• Familiarity with Docker and cloud environments (AWS/GCP), particularly for running automation reliably in CI, is a plus.
• Knowledge of Angular is a plus.
• A good communicator who can explain technical concepts in clear, plain English (both written and verbal)
• An AI as a partner mindset.
• You will contribute to our data-driven quality culture, directly influencing metrics such as test automation coverage, defect leakage rates, and cycle time reductions.
