Job summary

Cognizant seeks an experienced QA Automation Lead in India to define test strategy, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive automation initiatives across sprints and releases.

You will own go/no-go decisions, optimize tool selections, and ensure seamless integration of automation within CICD pipelines while tracking quality KPIs and ROI.

• Track test coverage defect trends and quality metrics KPIs.
• Facilitate coordination between QA dev BA and product teams.
• Own go/no-go decisions and final signoff for releases.
• Drive automation strategy and ROI what to automate tools framework selection.
• Ensure automation integrates smoothly into CICD pipelines.
• Monitor automation coverage growth and maintenance effort/tech debt.
• Manage budget/licensing for automation tools and infrastructure.
• Review automation health metrics, pass rate, flakiness, execution time.
• Identify opportunities for AI-driven testing, test generation, self-healing scripts, defect prediction.
• Evaluate and onboard AI testing tools (eg Testim, Applitools, GenAI-based test case generators).
• Ensure AI-assisted outputs are validated and don’t compromise quality/compliance.
• Drive adoption of AI copilots for faster test authoring and triage.
• Measure and report efficiency gains from AI integration, time saved, defect leakage reduction.
