Capgemini Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Murex Test Analyst with 8+ years of experience to join a seasoned team. You will perform test design/strategy, unit testing, SIT and UAT, and drive root-cause analysis of defects in a Murex greenfield project for a leading investment banking client.

The role requires deep knowledge of the Mx.3 platform (FO, BO Datamart, Reporting) and strong skills in Unix, Shell scripting, SQL, XML, MXML, FixML, plus test automation and QA tools such as Quality Center.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Murex testing or financial systems.
• Strong knowledge of Murex 3 platform components (FO, BO Datamart, Reporting).
• Experience designing test cases from functional specs and test data.
• Proficiency with Unix, Shell scripting, SQL, XML, MXML, FixML.
• Experience with test automation and tools like MXTest / Onyx.
• Experience with QA/test management tools such as Quality Center.

Role & responsibilities

Looking for Senior Murex Test Analyst with experience (8+ years) **** who will be working with us in an established team of Murex Test Analysts and perform tasks linked to test design/strategy, unit testing, SIT & UAT. An ideal candidate suiting the bill would be the one who has demonstrated capabilities to find the root cause of defect rather than finding it only .

Responsibilities

Selected candidate will be working in implanting murex greenfield project for a leading investment banking client . Candidate will be fully involved in the project initiation through to project implementation.

• Designing robust test cases, based on documented functional specifications and technical design, targeting specific changes.
• Executing test cases, analysing results and gathering evidences.
• Developing test data and scripts for test automation.
• Assisting the project manager and test managers to define and manage the test strategy and test plans by providing robust estimates and highlighting and analysing any potential risks and their impact.
• Evaluating testing practices and tools to improve the testing process and quality of the software
• Proactively identify opportunities to automate certain areas of testing with a view to minimize manual testing.
• Work with business analysts, developers and vendors to resolve defects Review and quality assure test cases

Preferred candidate profile

Good grasp of capital markets activities and of common financial products such as FX,FXD,EQD, Bonds, Futures, FRAs, CDS, Interest Rates Options , Inflation products etc.

• Good understanding of trade lifecycle and business processes managed by FO and MO end users.
• Good understanding of various types of market data.
• Good understanding of risk and valuation methodologies.
• Have a good understanding of the Mx.3 platform (Primarily FO, BO Datamart and Reporting and Batch Modules) to be able to navigate the system in order to execute the test cases and perform the preliminary analysis of issues.
• Good exposure in working with the technical tools such as Unix, Shell Scripting and SQL, XML, MxML, FixML.
• Should ideally have some experience in test automation and usage of automation tools like MxTest / Onyx, .
• Should have extensive experience using test and defect management tools (Eg Quality Center)
