Job summary

AceNet is seeking an experienced Test Lead – Asset & Wealth Management Technology to lead end-to-end testing across investment technology implementations, transformation programmes, platform upgrades, and managed services engagements. The role requires a hands-on testing leader with strong expertise in test strategy, planning, execution, defect management, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Test Lead – Asset & Wealth Management Technology to lead end-to-end testing across investment technology implementations, transformation programmes, platform upgrades, and managed services engagements. The role requires a hands-on testing leader with strong expertise in test strategy, planning, execution, defect management, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of asset and wealth management business processes across front-, middle-, and back-office operations, along with practical experience in investment management platforms such as SimCorp Dimension, Charles River Development (CRD), or BlackRock Aladdin. The role also involves leading onshore and offshore testing teams, ensuring release quality, and maintaining rigorous testing standards across complex financial services technology environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and own end-to-end test strategies, test plans, estimates, schedules, resource plans, and quality assurance processes.
• Establish testing scope, coverage, entry and exit criteria, quality gates, and formal sign-off requirements.
• Lead functional, system integration, regression, data migration, interface, and user acceptance testing.
• Prepare and execute test cases for high-risk and complex business scenarios, ensuring end-to-end coverage across investment management workflows.
• Validate platform configurations, business processes, interfaces, reconciliations, reports, and data outputs against business and technical requirements.
• Lead and coordinate a small team of onshore and offshore test analysts, including task allocation, progress monitoring, quality reviews, coaching, and mentoring.
• Manage test environments, test data, release readiness, and dependencies in collaboration with business, technical, and vendor teams.
• Own the end-to-end defect management lifecycle, including defect logging, triage, prioritisation, root cause analysis, retesting, and resolution tracking.
• Lead defect triage meetings and communicate testing progress, coverage, risks, issues, and quality metrics to client stakeholders and programme leadership.
• Lead UAT activities, including business user preparation, test execution support, defect resolution, acceptance criteria validation, and completion sign-off.
• Own regression testing and release assurance for platform upgrades, patches, recurring releases, and business-as-usual changes in managed services engagements.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency through reusable test assets, risk-based regression coverage, and test automation.
• Prepare and maintain test documentation, execution evidence, results, approvals, and sign-offs in line with project governance standards.
• Assess go-live readiness, highlight outstanding risks, and provide evidence-based recommendations to support implementation and release decisions.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience leading testing for investment management platform implementations, upgrades, transformation programmes, or complex financial services technology initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with at least one core asset and wealth management platform: SimCorp Dimension, Charles River Development (CRD), or BlackRock Aladdin.
• Strong understanding of asset management business processes across front-, middle-, and back-office operations.
• Demonstrated expertise in test strategy, planning, estimation, execution, test coverage, and quality governance.
• Experience in functional, system integration, regression, data migration, interface, and UAT testing.
• Strong knowledge of defect management, defect triage, root cause analysis, and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience leading and mentoring onshore, offshore, or blended testing teams.
• Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira, Xray, Zephyr, HP ALM, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience validating investment workflows, business rules, interfaces, reconciliations, reports, and data integrity.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and risk-based testing skills.
• Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to challenge quality concerns and assess go-live readiness.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in managed services, application support, platform upgrades, and recurring release testing.
• Exposure to test automation tools and frameworks, including identifying opportunities for automation and reusable test assets.
• Experience in reconciliation, interface, and data migration testing across multi-system environments.
• Familiarity with Agile, hybrid, and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Consulting experience with investment managers, wealth managers, or asset servicing organisations.
• Exposure to comparable investment management platforms such as Avaloq, FNZ, Bloomberg AIM, or Eagle.
• Relevant professional certifications, such as ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager.
• Experience delivering testing across multi-team programmes with complex dependencies and strict quality and release governance requirements.
