Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in India seeks an Equipment Reliability & Production Support Engineer to own test equipment uptime, optimize OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and drive fast recovery of tester, handler, SLT, burn-in, and motherboard test systems.

Lead installation, qualification, IQ/OQ/PQ, validation activities, identify throughput bottlenecks, pursue AI-assisted data analysis for troubleshooting, and collaborate with Process, NPI, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supplier teams.

Responsibilities

• Own test equipment uptime, OEE, MTBF, and MTTR performance.
• Drive fast recovery of tester, handler, SLT, burn-in, and motherboard test systems.
• Analyze recurring failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Provide engineering support for production escalations and critical tool downtime.
• Manage equipment lifecycle, upgrades, and obsolescence planning.
• Lead installation, qualification, and release of new test equipment.
• Execute IQ/OQ/PQ, characterization, and validation activities.
• Ensure equipment complies with manufacturing and quality requirements.
• Generate qualification reports and engineering documentation.
• Identify throughput bottlenecks and implement productivity improvements.
• Drive tester utilization optimization and cycle-time reduction.
• Support yield improvement through equipment correlation and failure analysis.
• Collaborate with Process, NPI, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supplier teams.
• Leverage Artificial Intelligence and AI Assistant technologies to automate data analysis, troubleshooting, reporting, and knowledge management.
• Drive engineering efficiency and equipment performance improvements by using AI for predictive analytics, failure pattern recognition, and continuous improvement initiatives.
