Job summary

Moolya Software Testing in Hyderabad is seeking a capable automation tester to advance our UI and API test suite using Playwright and TypeScript. You will design and maintain test scripts, work with locators and assertions, and help ensure API requests and responses are robust.

The role emphasizes testing fundamentals, API testing, and modular automation with Page Object Model, alongside familiar tools like Git, Postman, and Jira.

Qualifications

• Hands-on UI and API automation experience.
• Strong test case design and defect lifecycle understanding.
• REST API testing including auth and negative scenarios.
• Knowledge of Page Object Model and reusable components.
• Familiarity with Git, Postman and Jira; basic CI/CD knowledge.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Playwright & TypeScript: write and maintain test scripts, use locators and assertions.
• Validate API requests and responses and debug failures.
• Understand testing fundamentals: test design, regression, negative testing, defect lifecycle.
• API Testing: REST API testing including status codes, auth, negatives.
• Automation Frameworks: basic POM, reusable components, framework structure.
• Tools: Git, Postman, Jira; basic CI/CD knowledge.

Role & responsibilities

• Playwright & TypeScript: Hands-on experience in UI and API automation, including writing and maintaining test scripts, working with locators and assertions, validating API requests and responses, and debugging test failures.
• Testing Fundamentals: Strong understanding of test case design, functional testing, regression testing, negative testing, and defect lifecycle management.
• API Testing: Practical experience in REST API testing, including request/response validation, HTTP status codes, authentication, and negative scenarios.
• Automation Frameworks: Basic understanding of Page Object Model (POM), reusable components, and automation framework structure.
• Tools: Familiarity with Git, Postman, and Jira. Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines is good to have.
• Core Skills: Good analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
