Job summary

BigThinkCode Technologies is a Chennai-based firm seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join as an automations-focused QA specialist. You will design and maintain automated test frameworks, validate APIs and microservices, and collaborate with DevOps and Product teams to enhance overall quality.

The role emphasizes Playwright-based automation and REST API testing, with immediate to 2 weeks joining. 2–4 years’ experience is expected, in a hands-on, cloud-native environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in QA manual and automation Software Testing.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong experience in API automation testing.
• Experience testing distributed systems / microservices architectures - Nice to have.
• Good understanding of REST APIs / webservices testing and testing tools.
• Basic to good scripting knowledge in JavaScript, TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, test plans, test cases, and QA documentation
• Perform functional, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Validate APIs, microservices, asynchronous workflows, and event-driven applications
• Collaborate closely with Development, DevOps, and Product teams to identify and resolve quality issues
• Contribute to improving overall test automation coverage, reliability, and engineering quality
