Job summary

Siemens in Bangalore is seeking a seasoned Test Automation Engineer (Python and Squish) to join a vibrant, international team. You will drive automation across grid projects, collaborating with cross-functional groups to craft robust test cases and maintain a scalable automation framework.

You have 8–12 years of deep experience in test automation, strong Python expertise, and familiarity with Squish and distributed systems.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/MTech in CS/IS/Electronics.
• 8–12 years of hands-on test automation experience.
• Strong Python skills and Squish experience.
• Familiarity with grid/distributed systems.
• Experience with Jira, CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automated test scripts using Python and Squish for grid projects.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to design test cases.
• Maintain test framework, implement test cases, analyze results, report defects.
• Identify areas for test automation and improve the framework.
• Work closely with developers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
• Demonstrate experience in testing distributed systems with automation.

We are looking for: Test Automation Engineer (Python and Squish)

You’ll Make An Impact By

• Develop and implement automated test scripts using Python and Squish for grid projects.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to understand project requirements and design test cases accordingly.
• Maintain Test framework, implement test cases, analyze test results, review test cases and report any issues or defects.
• Identify areas for test automation and continuously improve the automation framework.
• Work closely with developers and partner to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software.
• Experience of functional and automated testing of distributed systems, using a test automation framework
• Familiarity with industry standard tools, such as Jira, CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, and Gitflow.

• B.E/B. Tech/M. Tech (Computer Science, Information Science, Electronics).
• Overall, 8-12 years of experience as an Test automation engineer
• Proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming language.
• Experience with Squish or other test automation tools.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Knowledge of grid systems is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
