Job summary

ImpactQA, a global software testing leader, seeks an experienced Test Automation Architect in Noida to design scalable automation frameworks for Web UI and API testing. You will drive automation strategy, mentor teams, and integrate with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools, and AI-powered testing tools.

You will lead efforts to ensure high-quality releases, work with cross-functional stakeholders, and advance enterprise testing practices across projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in QA Automation with strong architectural expertise.
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript, Python, Cypress, Playwright, and PyTest.
• Minimum 5 years of Web UI and API Automation experience.
• Proven experience designing and developing automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong expertise in REST API Automation.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of Shift Left QA, Agile, and SDLC.
• Experience with Relational and NoSQL Databases.
• Hands-on experience utilizing AI tools for software testing and automation.

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable automation solutions for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in Web UI and API Automation, hands-on experience in building automation frameworks from scratch, and the ability to drive automation strategy across multiple projects.

The candidate will collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams while leveraging AI-powered automation, modern testing practices, and CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery and improve product quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and implement scalable automation frameworks from scratch for Web UI and API Testing.
• Define enterprise-wide automation strategy, standards, and best practices.
• Develop automation solutions using TypeScript, Python, Playwright, Cypress, and PyTest.
• Drive automation adoption across Agile teams and mentor automation engineers.
• Integrate automation suites with Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement Shift Left QA practices and automation throughout the SDLC.
• Utilize AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, or similar to improve automation productivity.
• Develop automated API testing solutions and validate RESTful services.
• Perform database validation using Relational and Non-Relational databases.
• Conduct code reviews, framework improvements, and establish automation governance.
• Analyze automation failures, identify root causes, and recommend long-term solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, DevOps, and Business stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in QA Automation with strong architectural expertise.
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript, Python, Cypress, Playwright, and PyTest.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• ISTQB or equivalent testing certification is preferred.
