Job summary

VOIS in Maharashtra, India seeks an experienced testing professional to act as a subject matter expert for application testing across projects. You will lead QA strategy, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement in testing practices while supporting delivery readiness and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• 9–12 years of relevant testing experience.

About This Role

• We are seeking an experienced testing professional with 9–12 years of experience to act as a subject matter expert for application testing across projects and programmes. This role focuses on ensuring quality assurance excellence through strong test strategy, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and proactive risk management, while supporting delivery readiness and continuous improvement initiatives

What You’ll Do

• Serve as the primary testing expert for assigned applications across projects or programmes
• Define, review, and assure the quality of test approaches, scenarios, test cases, regression scope, and testing concepts
• Collaborate with developers, technical architects, product owners, project managers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, business scenarios, and acceptance criteria
• Support test teams and release managers in effort estimation, capacity planning, environment readiness, deployment verification, and test data management
• Identify and communicate software quality risks, aligning testing approaches with business impact, complexity, and risk exposure
• Review test results, regression updates, and quality documentation, including audit-related artefacts where applicable
• Support defect management by addressing escalations, incomplete defect details, missing root cause analysis, and solution gaps
• Contribute to quality approval processes by providing application and technical insights ahead of go-live decisions
• Coach and support project and business testing teams on testing practices, application knowledge, and critical processes
• Ensure application knowledge is effectively documented, retained, and shared across teams
• Drive continuous improvement in QA processes by identifying efficiencies and promoting best practices
• Provide recommendations on automation and non-functional testing opportunities, frameworks, and enhancements

Who You Are

• An experienced testing professional with 9–12 years of relevant experience
• A subject matter expert in software testing practices and methodologies
• Proficient in defining and reviewing test strategies and ensuring quality outcomes
• Skilled in stakeholder collaboration across technical and business teams
• Experienced in risk-based testing and quality assurance decision-making
• Knowledgeable in defect management, audit readiness, and documentation standards
• Committed to mentoring teams and sharing knowledge effectively
• Focused on continuous improvement and innovation in testing processes
• Familiar with automation and non-functional testing practices and frameworks
