About This Role

We are seeking a Software Test Analyst to join the Business Quality Assurance team within Tech VOIS in Pune. This role is ideal for an individual with strong foundations in software testing, SQL, Unix/Linux and quality assurance practices who is passionate about delivering reliable, high-quality business applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing structured testing activities, validating application functionality, identifying defects, supporting system integration testing, and collaborating with development, business analysis and project teams to ensure successful project delivery. The role also offers exposure to API integration testing, release onboarding activities, telecom business processes and modern technology environments.

What You'll Do

• Design and execute test scenarios, test cases and test scripts based on business requirements.
• Perform Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT) and Regression Testing.
• Identify, log, track and retest defects using defect management tools.
• Validate application data through SQL queries and business rule verification.
• Ensure compliance with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), quality assurance standards and project delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts and project stakeholders to clarify requirements and improve solution quality.
• Support API integration testing and partner onboarding activities.
• Contribute to release onboarding and integration processes to ensure smooth deployments.
• Apply analytical thinking to investigate issues, identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through reusable testing approaches and quality-focused practices.
• Assist in reducing implementation effort and rework through effective testing and defect prevention.
• Participate in recurring testing activities and contribute to the successful delivery of business applications.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, E&TC, BCA, MCA or a related technical discipline.
• Good understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Management processes.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and data validation techniques.
• Good understanding of Unix/Linux fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive and quality-focused mindset.
• Demonstrated learning agility and adaptability in changing environments.
• Collaborative team player with effective stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Understanding of telecom business processes would be advantageous.
• ISTQB certification is desirable.
• Exposure to scripting languages such as Python or Go would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS, would be advantageous.
• Experience with automation frameworks and testing tools is desirable.
