Job summary

Worldline is seeking a Senior Test Engineer in Chennai to lead QA across software applications and platforms. You will design test strategies, develop automated tests, and mentor junior testers to ensure delivery of high-quality products.

The role requires hands-on automation with Selenium/Playwright/Cypress, API testing, and strong collaboration with developers, product owners, and operations in Agile environments. You will help shape testing practices and contribute to release readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and defect lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, UFT, or similar.
• Experience in API testing using Postman, ReadyAPI, Rest Assured, or equivalent tools.
• Knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or ALM.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies and test plans.
• Lead functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing efforts.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and project managers to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
• Review requirements and design documents to ensure testability and quality standards.
• Analyze test results and provide quality metrics and status reports to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior testers and provide technical guidance on testing best practices.
• Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to release planning activities.

Who are we looking for

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Performance Testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.
• Experience leading QA/testing initiatives for large-scale enterprise applications.
