Qualifications

The Opportunity

Tendering authority for all tenders with medium to high complexity. Create and complete bids/estimations/quotations based on end customer specification or customer requirements/budget in liaising with the Operating Unit’s Tendering team, having close collaboration with all the tendering stakeholders and taking full tender responsibility.

Coordinate with all the tendering stakeholders, OU Tendering team, Engineering Leads, Project managers, SCM, end customers, consultants, Contracts & legal team, HSE & Quality, etc. and provide required support in each Tender

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Taking complete responsibility for the tenders prepared from IN Operation Center with appropriate input from the different stakeholders of the team in-line with organization tendering process seeking necessary inputs from the Operating Units tendering team.
• Understanding of Sales process, Sales tools & techniques, Market & Business Intelligence, Sales drive. Supporting sales strategy & facilitating capture team selling.
• Independently manages and handles end-to-end tender lifecycle (RFQ to submission). Leads complex tenders with winning strategy; Adhere to tender execution plan, risk/opportunity management, stakeholder alignment and negotiation.
• Knowledge in assessing the pre-qualification requirements and supporting the Sales team for Bid/No Bid decision
• Able to perform the complete tender costing and drive cost optimization
• Create and review Tender Solution Strategy. Target Pricing in discussion with Operating units
• Complete Understanding of Single line diagrams & Equipment arrangement layouts. Reviewing the proposals towards optimized and customized solutions for various substation tenders (AIS, GIS, Hybrid). Innovative ideas to prepare a cost-effective solution.
• Understanding of Power Conversion system, Static Frequency Converter, Medium Power STATCOM
• Technical data sheets verification of primary equipment. Knowledge of primary equipment, such as circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, instrument transformers, power transformers, etc with minimal support from Engineering team
• Collaborate with SCM having good understanding about strategic sourcing and do Vendor Offer evaluations. Finalize the tender sourcing plan appropriately.
• Understanding & its impact of all the commercial terms and conditions and able to mitigate the identified risks during tender stage.
• Analyze the risk probability & severity of the tenders from technical, commercial, contractual perspectives & drive the mitigation strategy liaising with the different disciplines. Should be handling the risk review process and getting approval from different management levels based on the tender volume & the risks involved
• Able to perform cash flow analysis for the tender and provide mitigations on the exposure if reqd.
• Review Cash flow documents and the inputs from Contracts & legal teams and take conclusive decisions during submissions.
• Directly responsible for the complete documentation for respective tenders as per the client requirement
• Handing over the awarded projects to the respective project managers.
• You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

• Bachelor’s in electrical & Electronics Engineering, 8-12 years’ experience in Tendering
• Knowledge of Hitachi Energy Products & System offerings
• Experience and skill to prepare and support Bid Process
• Knowledge in substation tendering and project engineering activities (technical & commercial)
• Individual contributors using in-depth knowledge in a specific area to execute complex or specialized tenders / challenges often thinking independently to challenge traditional solutions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of related disciplines in the organization.
• Works independently, applying established standards
• Excellent English speaker, good communication skills
