Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficient in BMS architecture and vendor protocols (LonTalk, BACnet, MODBUS TCP/IP)
• Thorough knowledge of HVAC systems (Chillers, FAHU, AHU, FCU, DX units, split ACs)
• Experience designing multi-service networks (LAN/WAN, cabling, phones, CCTV, PAS)
• Ability to develop graphics with SCADA software for process applications
• Experience with Surveillance systems (CCTV, IDS, Access Control) and PLANT SCADA integration
• Working knowledge of 3D modeling (S3D) and Autodesk Revit with SPR/Navisworks
• Design knowledge of LAN/WAN, switches, firewalls, routers and wireless networks

• Compiles and correlates data using engineering techniques per BSAPs and standards
• Maintains technical logs and records; supports other engineering disciplines

Job Summary

In this role, you will participate in the design, development, modification, and evaluation of telecommunications components and processes. You will help prepare conceptual studies and coordinate development and presentation of material. You will correlate data that will develop your professional knowledge by applying standard telecommunications engineering techniques and criteria.

Major Responsibilities

• Participates in the design, development, modification and evaluation of Telecommunications components and processes
• Compiles, adjusts, and correlates data that will develop professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard Telecommunications engineering techniques, procedures and criteria utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs)
• Provides input to and/or maintains technical logs and records
• Coordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplines
• Provides direct support to other engineering disciplines for Telecommunications related matters
• Coordinates development and presentation of material when requested
• Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals

Education And Experience Requirements

• Requires a University Hire with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge And Skills

• Proficient in BMS architecture to integrate third party systems via existing vendor protocols including, as a minimum, Lon Talk, BACnet and MODBUS TCP/IP.
• Thorough knowledge in handling of HVAC Systems such as CHILLERS, FAHU, AHU, FCU, DX Type Package Units, Split AC Units, Heat Exchangers, Pumps, Motors, Dosing Systems, Compressors,
• Lifts/Elevators, Exhaust Fans for Buildings in Large Infrastructure Projects.
• Designing of multi service network including networking, server systems, structured cabling, telephone systems, access control and CCTV System, PAS systems.
• Development of graphics with SCADA Software for various process applications development, alarms, real time & historical trends.
• Design experience of Surveillance System including CCTV System, Intrusion Detection System, Access Control System, and integration with Plant SCADA network system.
• Working knowledge of 3D Model Review in S3D and Auto Desk Revit using SPR and Navisworks.
• Design knowledge on LAN/WAN, L2/L3 switches, firewalls, routers and wireless network
