A leading software testing firm in New Delhi is looking for a skilled software tester to develop test strategies, manage defects, and ensure software quality. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of testing experience, strong problem-solving and leadership skills, and familiarity with Salesforce and automated testing tools. This position offers a full-time opportunity with a temporary remote work arrangement due to COVID-19.
Responsibilities: –
· Design and develop tools for test management, execution and reporting to enhance the overall software testing process.
· Write, revise, and verify quality standards and test procedures for program design, product evaluation and quality assurance.
· Review computer operating log to identify program processing errors.
· Observes computer monitoring/performance metrics during program tests to detect error codes or interruption of program and correct errors.
· Identifies differences between established standards and user applications and suggests modifications to conform to standards.
· Adapts to new Testing software/ALM software that the company might decide to use.
· Conduct compatibility tests with vendor-provided programs.
· Test implementations/integrations with third-party platforms.
· Monitors program performance after implementation to prevent reoccurrence of program operating problems and ensure the efficiency of operation.
· Writes documentation to describe program evaluation, testing, and correction.
· May develop utility program to test, track, and verify defects in software program
· Evaluate and test new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to established guidelines.
· Develop automated tests for test cases and integrate automation into test suites.
· Plan, design, and author effective test cases
· Test Strategy, Test Plan and Test Case creation
· Manage defects within assigned project
· Perform Root Cause Analysis of defects and issues
· Conduct User Acceptance Testing
· Test Process improvement initiative
· Development and maintenance of testing scripts and tools
· Testing and testing documentation reviews/walkthroughs
· Requirement, Functional Specification and High-Level Design documentation reviews
· Functional, Regression, Integration and various Test Level/Test Type design and implementation
Requirements: –
· Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
· Certified Tester Foundation Level
· At least 6 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills required to document and report on defects and other software issues and to communicate with clients and users
· Strong problem-solving ability.
· Strong leadership skills
· Experienced with testing tools (Automated tools).
· Experienced with functional testing, performance testing or security testing depending on the job function.
· Highly proficient in generating test plans, test cases and test procedures.
· Extensive hands-on experience in test methodology.
· Collaborative attitude – work effectively with other internal departments
· Good organization and planning skills – able to develop and follow plans and to maintain pace.
· Analytical skills – ability to understand detailed or abstract processes and perform effective knowledge capture.
· Must be able to work in a professional office environment with minimal supervision
· Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
· Must be organized and detail-oriented.
· Excellent negotiation skills and interpersonal skills.
· Experience with Salesforce is a must
