Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. seeks a senior engineering leader to manage and develop Systems Engineering teams across multiple installation domains, driving product development, system integration, validation, and continuous improvement.

This role is onsite five days a week, with relocation support available and visa sponsorship not provided. The position requires an accredited engineering degree and strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills to deliver on-time, high-quality outcomes across MWL

Qualifications

• Requires an accredited engineering, CS, or materials science degree; mechanical or electrical preferred.

Job Summary

Leads and develops Systems Engineering teams across Engine Installation, Hydraulics Installation, Electrical Installation, Heavy Structures, Light Fabrications, and Work Tools, supporting MWL products across NPI, NTI, and Current Product Maintenance. Provides technical leadership and drives effective execution of product development, system integration, validation, production support, and continuous product improvement.

This position requires working onsite five days a week. Relocation is available for this position. Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for engineering teams; motivating and developing project and team leaders.
• Providing specialized engineering technical support and consulting services to various areas of the organization.
• Assisting with high-impact, long duration engineering initiatives and projects; ensuring achievement of engineering plan and product quality.
• Maintaining product release plans and material plans; driving programs to completion on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Degree Requirement: Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum. Preferably Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
