Job summary

Diageo India Pvt Ltd in Bengaluru seeks a Technology & Solution Architect Lead – Finance to lead design, delivery and ongoing management of technology solutions across Finance capabilities. You will partner with Finance stakeholders, technology teams and external partners to define requirements and ensure governance.

The role requires deep SAP S/4HANA Finance expertise, experience across ERP, planning, reporting and analytics, and ability to influence senior stakeholders across markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years of technology experience in SAP ERP, Finance systems and cloud technologies.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance and core finance processes.
• Translate Finance requirements into scalable architecture and solution designs.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders across Finance and Technology.
• Experience in distributed delivery (on-shore, off-shore, hybrid).
• Fluent English with strong communication skills.

About the role:

Purpose of the Role:

This role will lead the design, delivery and ongoing management of technology solutions across Finance capabilities, providing strategic, scalable and robust technical solutions to support the Finance transformation agenda. The role will partner with Finance stakeholders, technology teams and strategic suppliers to define solution requirements, manage technology delivery, and ensure effective governance across the Finance technology landscape.

Key Accountabilities Accountabilities:

• Lead the solution architecture and delivery agenda for the Finance functional area, ensuring technology solutions support Finance transformation objectives across Record to Report (R2R), Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Controlling, Treasury, Tax and Compliance.
• Understanding of Reporting and Analytics tools that support financial process is a must. Tools include SAP BDC, SAC, Datasphere etc.
• Partner with Finance, Enterprise Architecture and Delivery teams to define technology strategies, evaluate solution options and ensure Finance capabilities are delivered through scalable, secure and compliant solutions aligned to enterprise standards.
• Own end-to-end solution architecture for Finance initiatives, ensuring alignment across SAP, digital platforms, data solutions, reporting capabilities and integration architectures.
• Support business case development, solution assessments and technology investment decisions by defining technical requirements, evaluating platform capabilities and ensuring alignment to architectural principles and target-state roadmaps.
• Drive simplification, standardisation and value realisation across Finance solutions by promoting platform reuse, reducing technology complexity and aligning initiatives to enterprise technology strategies.
• Ensure appropriate governance across Finance technology solutions, including architecture reviews, security, controls, audit requirements, regulatory compliance and operational readiness throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Partner with the SAP COE and external SI as needed

Key Competencies

• Strong understanding of Finance technology architecture, enterprise applications and business proceses within large-scale transforation programmes
• Experience designing and governing complex Finance technology solutions across ERP, planning, reporting and analytics platforms.
• Ability to balance business requirements, technical constraints, risk considerations and long-term strategic objectives when evaluating solution options.
• Experience leading solution architecture activities across cross-functional programmes involving Finance, Technology and external delivery partners.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree. 10+ years of technology experience in SAP ERP, Finance systems and cloud technologies. Strong technical knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions, including core Finance processes and integrated business operations. Proven ability to translate Finance business requirements into scalable technology and solution architectures. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with senior Finance and Technology stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to effectively engage and influence cross-functional teams across Finance, Technology and GBS functions. Proven ability to influence at senior stakeholder level across multiple markets with strong networking, communication and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated ability to provide effective and targeted communication to technical and non-technical audiences. Experience working in distributed delivery environments (on-shore, off-shore and hybrid delivery models). Proven ability to manage internal and external delivery partners to achieve desired business outcomes. Fluent English.
