The Techno Lead is responsible for driving manufacturing line reliability, equipment performance and technical capability to deliver world-class manufacturing performance across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability and Morale (SQCDSM).
The role owns the preventive maintenance strategy, asset reliability, breakdown elimination and continuous improvement agenda for the assigned manufacturing line. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, IL6S and Business Development teams, the Techno Lead ensures optimum equipment performance, improved Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), higher Global Efficiency (GE), increased MTBB, reduced MTTR, improved yields and sustainable manufacturing performance.
As the technical owner of the line, the Techno Lead develops maintenance capability, drives IL6S and HPWS practices, supports capital and digitization initiatives, and coaches frontline teams to eliminate losses and improve operational excellence.
Drive zero safety incidents and zero quality defects through strong compliance with Mondelez safety, food safety and quality standards.
Conduct technical risk assessments for equipment modifications, Kaizen initiatives and capital projects.
Ensure statutory compliance including pressure testing, calibration, tool safety assessments and preventive inspections.
Support food safety risk reduction initiatives and ensure effective change management.
Partner with HSE, Quality and IL6S teams to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
Own equipment reliability and preventive maintenance strategy for the assigned manufacturing line.
Drive improvements in:
Execute Preventive Maintenance Standard Work Processes (PM SWP) including planning, scheduling, time-based maintenance and condition-based monitoring.
Lead breakdown analysis (BDA), root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
Drive Autonomous Maintenance (AM), CIL and TBM compliance across the production line.
Ensure availability and optimization of spare parts and maintenance inventory.
Develop alternate sourcing strategies for maintenance parts and services.
Lead IL6S PM Pillar progression in line with site roadmap.
Drive loss elimination using IL6S, HPWS and Lean Manufacturing principles.
Lead productivity, debottlenecking and yield improvement projects.
Support digitization initiatives and implementation of future manufacturing technologies.
Conduct Maintenance Prevention (MP) workshops and support capital interventions.
Drive sustainability initiatives focused on energy and water reduction.
Partner with Process Lead, Engineering and Production teams to achieve production targets.
Track weekly and monthly KPIs including:
Conduct weekly loss analysis meetings and ensure timely closure of action plans.
Perform SAP transactions related to maintenance and production as required.
Build technical capability of operators and maintenance teams.
Coach teams on IL6S, Autonomous Maintenance, equipment ownership and loss elimination.
Lead at least one plant-wide Standard Work Process (SWP).
Drive Kaizen, Green Belt and Continuous Improvement projects.
Foster a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous learning.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or related Engineering discipline.
5-7 years of manufacturing maintenance or reliability engineering experience.
Experience in FMCG, Food & Beverage, Dairy, Consumer Goods or Process Manufacturing preferred.
