Job summary

Bunge in Rajpura, Punjab, is seeking a Technician – Packing to support daily production, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. The role covers setup, machine adjustments, and monitoring packaging outputs in a dairy/food processing environment.

The ideal candidate has ITI from a government institute and 2–5 years of hands-on experience in ice cream, dairy, or related food plants. Strong record-keeping and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• ITI certificate from a government institute.
• 2 to 5 years of hands-on operation experience in dairy/ice cream/food processing plants.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning) to start a production cycle.
• Control and adjust machine settings (speed) to meet production targets.
• Fix issues that may occur during the shift.
• Knowledge of equipment operation through PLC.
• Check output to spot machine-related mistakes or defects.
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
• Operate production line equipment including homogenizer, pasteurizer, PHE operations, and metal detectors.
• Maintain records and basic computer knowledge for documentation.
• Weigh and label packaged goods ready for dispatch.
• Handle homogenizer, pasteurizer, PHE operations, printers and metal detectors.

Role Purpose Statement: Working to strict safety and quality requirements, help to achieve daily production requirements in terms of quality and quantity, optimizing efficiency and maintaining operational excellence. Able to work on many/all areas of the production process.

Main Accountabilities:

• 1. Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle.


• 2. Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed).


• 3. Fix issues that might occur during the shift.


• 4. Knowledge of equipment operating through PLC.


• 5. Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.


• 6. Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.


• 7. Operate production line equipment such as knowledge of handling Homogenizer, pasteurizer & PHE operations, Online Printers and Metal detectors.


• 8. Able to maintain all records and documents having basic knowledge of computer.


• 9. Weigh and label packaged goods ready for dispatch.


• 10. Knowledge of handling homogenizer, pasteurizer & PHE operations, printers and metal detectors.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Sound knowledge of Processing, Production & Packing Technologies (Whip toppings, cooking cream, dairy analogues, bakery mixes, confectionery, and decorations, culinary, Proprietary Foods etc.


• Hands on experience in Manufacturing & Trouble Shooting of whip topping, fat emulsions etc.


• Good knowledge on Food Safety, Process & Quality Assurance aspects, Food Safety, GMP of Food Products.

Technical: Preventative Maintenance. Autonomous Maintenance, Computer Knowledge

Education & Experience: ITI from Government institute.
2 to 5 Years of Ice cream/Dairy/Juice/Nondairy whip topping/Edible Oil/Vegetable Fat plant operation with hands on experience in manufacturing and filling.
